On 28th October 2020, FAMP, in collaboration with the Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Sustainable Development, and the municipalities included in the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park: Almería, Níjar and Carboneras, held the first virtual territorial laboratory of the TUNE UP project.

The main objective of this first territorial laboratory was to bring together the most relevant actors in the management of the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park, such as touristic companies carrying out their activities inside the Park, civil society organisations concerned about biodiversity protection, and public organisations like municipalities and regional government. They worked towards identifying the outstanding problems in the protected area, as well as the opportunities that  TUNE UP project presents for the improvement of its multilevel governance. For the following territorial laboratories, the necessary lines of action and strategic objectives to achieve the desired corrected scenario will be outlined.
